Ernest Malcolm Munroe at his 94th birthday!
On September 19, 2014, a wonderful human being left this earth. Ernie, had just turned 95 in June but his health was, only recently, failing. Despite his incredible effort to stay fit and strong, the years took over and eventually won. He left a legacy of friendship, humour, integrity and a sincere love for the outdoors. We can be comforted and say ‘hello’ when we walk by his bench at Lemoine Pt. It was something he enjoyed very much and was so proud of. If you walk from the north parking lot on the main trail and take the 2nd path to the right towards the water, you’ll pass Ernie’s bench on your left. Take a moment to feed the birds, enjoy the view or take a rest. Ernie would love to know that you enjoyed his special bench.
