Class Descriptions:
Urban Poling I : a short session so that people can learn and master the Urban Poling techniques. Afterwards, you can choose to continue in either Urban Poling II or III or head out on your own. Register through the Seniors Centre.
Urban Poling II: Although some participants in the class will have had some Urban Poling experience, new participants are ALWAYS welcome! Participants should be comfortable completing 2.5 - 3 km in an hour. Register through the Seniors Centre.
Urban Poling III: Although some participants in the class will have had some Urban Poling experience, new participants are ALWAYS welcome! Participants should be comfortable completing 4 - 5 km in an hour. Register through the Seniors Centre.
Urban Poling Super Circuit: this class combines all the great things about Urban Poling with some extra muscle conditioning to add even more challenge and benefit!! The circuit format will make the time pass quickly and you'll have a GREAT WORKOUT!!! Register through Kari.
Urban Poling Boot Camp: You like a tough workout but perhaps your knees are feeling the years. Or maybe you just like the idea of the full body workout that Urban Poling can give you. Take these ideas and combine them with some good old, traditional and effective exercises and you've got a complete workout. Kari will challenge you to push what you thought were your limits. And yes, we will have some fun too! Register through Kari.
Urban Poling Nooners: If you work downtown, enjoy walking and are finding it difficult to make time for exercise, this is the class for you!! With just a simple change of footwear, you can join a group of like-minded people for an energy boosting walk. Beginners and experienced Urban Polers welcome!! Register through Kari.
Gentle Urban Poling: If you are tentative about walking outdoors or are not sure about your stamina, this will be the class for you. Enjoy a group setting as we walk on the safe, dry and flat track at the Memorial Arena. Join us and get moving with the help of the Activator Urban Poles. The poles will provide stability, help you to stand tall and give you some upper body muscle conditioning. Enjoy some activity with renewed confidence. Register through Kari.
